2-Why do you hate George Lucas/Tim Burton?
THE ANSWER:
George is a guy who much like Anakin Skywalker, lost his way to the dark side, in his case, toy sales. He honestly believes the only people who should give a crap about the Star Wars movies are little kids and screw everybody else. He's stated his position clearly on the matter, and now so have I. Frak him.
Tim has made some movies I really liked a lot (Beetlejuice, Ed Wood) some that were tolerable (Mars Attacks, Big Fish) but plenty I despised (The Corpse Bride, Planet of the Apes). I wish he didn't fall back so much on his 'style' which is no replacement for a good story alone, but is a crime when you've made it your primary focus and all you ever express is the SAME style. I'm just so BORED with him quite frankly. The worst offense is his pooh-poohing of comic fans and his "Look: I read ONE Batman comic, now let me make the movie" attitude towards his versions of the Bat-story. No, they are not terrible films. Yes, they are terrible adaptations of Batman.
3-Can I be on a LEOG?
THE ANSWER:
Maybe, possibly. We are NOT going to do a call in conversation the way Korey has done with ACOCO so just give up that dream. Part of why this works is it's a bunch of guys all drinking and having fun in the same place. Trying to do the chemistry with a phone call just won't cut it and our answer is final. As far as YOU being one of the people to come join us...give us a chance to get to know you first. Come by the Nomad Bar sometime in Austin...we're often found there. Give us a chance to hang out with you over a few beers. Maybe we'll see that you'd fit right in. Hey, it happened to Nakato.
4-Who do you think should be the villain in Batman 3 or any speculative sequel or superhero movie question?
THE ANSWER
Just enjoy the gorram two Batman movies that are out already. I'll worry about the next film when it happens. Chris Nolan is a frakking genius and I'd rather he and his team of badasses make a decision based entirely on their own logic and creativity rather than what the studios hear the internet is favoring. Which is EXACTLY what happened with Spider-Man III and it's version of Venom which Sam Raimi never wanted to do in the first place but the studios forced him into because of you whiny biatches. People, just let the people do their work and I'll worry about it after I've seen it.
5-Who's your favorite superhero? Who's your favorite villain?
THE ANSWER
I've said it again and again and I'll say it again: Spider-Man. Maybe because he's not full of himself, maybe because he's a nerd and has normal human problems (even as an adult and married to a supermodel...like he was and should be again.) Maybe just because he uses humor as a shield and is always fighting assmuppets who are totally full of themselves and are incapable of taking a joke. But mainly because his powers and costume are the best out of any character out there. That being said, thanks to Joe Quesada's massive screwup of the character from "One More Day" run on, I don't read it anymore. Somebody let me know when the guy steps down and somebody else actually fixes the damn thing.
WHO YA GOT?
My supervillain...harder to answer. It's hard NOT to go with The Joker. He's been so scrutinized and detailed that he's endlessly fascinating, even with as little as we ACTUALLY know about him. If I don't go with that boring, "everybody's answer" I'd have to break it down to a short list:
Bullseye: What a kick-ass Daredevil villain. The snarky smack-talking psychotic killer to Daredevil's ultra-serious do-gooder. It's like Spider-man and his foes in reverse.
Magneto: I know he changes allegiance every six months it seems like but he's so relentlessly awesome regardless. Good guy...bad guy...whatever. I just love how powerful and "moral" in his own way he is. Unflappable. Cool.
The Saint of all Killers: From the "Preacher" book. I know there was some vacillation between whether or not he was a villain, and I'm not sure how there is a question, really. He's Clint Eastwood from the Sergio Leone films if he was 10,000 times as pissed off, immortal and undead. So very cool.
6. What Television Shows do you watch?
I know this is 'uncool' or whatever, but I love TV just as much as movies. I'll go so far as to say that at this point in time, with Television having evolved to the point it has now, I PREFER TV. Some TV anyways. Here are the shows that Cyrus has loved the most, past and present:
M.A.S.H., All in the Family, The Muppet Show, The Carol Burnett Show, Star Trek (TNG, TOS), Babylon 5, The X-FIles, LOST, The Venture Brothers, Arrested Development, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Rescue Me, Moonlighting, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Farscape. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Angel, Entourage, Law and Order, The Riches, Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, Breaking Bad, The Shield, Family Guy, The Simpsons, South Park, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dexter, Extras, The Office, 30 Rock, Spectacular Spider-Man, 24, Seinfeld, Futurama, Bullshit!, The Daily Show, Coupling, Twin Peaks, Veronica Mars, The West Wing, Freaks and Geeks, Batman The Animated Series, Chuck, Drawn Together, The Drew Carey Show, Caprica, Sons of Anarchy, Warehouse 13, Fringe, Community, Modern Family, Louie, Archer, Stargate Universe, Sanctuary, Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Prisoner, Dexter, Extras, Justice League, The Larry Sanders Show, Merlin, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Newsradio, Reaper, Spaced, Sons of Anarchy, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate: Universe, Supernatural, Survivors, Treme, Luther, Breaking Bad, Afterlife, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe, Jekyll, Justified, Misfits, No Heroics, The Job, Walking Dead, Young Justice, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Permalink Reply by Id0ntknow on July 17, 2012 at 3:31am Okay... bored, so I'm thumbing through your favorite comics. Looking at Rising Stars, they want nearly 60 bucks... is it worth it?
They compare it to 4400, which I liked the first season of... so yeah, yay or nay.
Permalink Reply by Id0ntknow on July 19, 2012 at 9:13pm Okay, I know I comment a lot on your page... but thought you might be interested in the new comic Supurbia. Same writer as Rising Star (which I asked about). I've read through the first issue and figure it has some promise. Anyway, hope to see what you think about it.
I have not read it, but now I'll keep my eye out for it.

I recently finished both Cheers and Frasier, and found them both awesome, even if it took me a while to warm up to Frasier. You've been vocal in the last few months about talking about the best Cheers episodes, but what are some of your favorite Frasier episodes or moments? Also, I seem to be in a minority about really enjoying season 10, so do you have any thoughts on that one? (The one where Niles and Daphne get married and the heart surgery and what-not)
I'm afraid that my exposure to Frasier is rather limited (I've probably seen about 20 episodes). I think it's great, but am not knowledgeable enough to pick out best eps.
I have something I was thinking about.
The Man of Steel trailer got me thinking about Superman Returns. I think it is generally agreed upon that Kate Bosworth made a major misfire as Lois Lane in Superman Returns (feel free to disagree). So...my questions are, what do you think Kate Bosworth did in that movie that did not work for Lois Lane? Secondly, do you think Amy Adams can do it for Man of Steel?
I think she didn't look much like Lois has traditionally, for one thing. Especially with her supposed to be the same Lois in the first two Superman films. I also didn't think her performance reflected someone who had even watched those other films.
Permalink Reply by The New Mand'alor on July 21, 2012 at 10:00pm Dear Cyrus,
I've been watching Game of Thrones, almost religously, and love it. But there is one thing that confuses me. Did Jammie plant that dagger on the assassin so Tyrion would be blamed on purpose?
Thank you, and have a nice day.

Permalink Reply by PirateLordBush on July 29, 2012 at 12:48am Sorry to ask a lot of drug related question, but i'm just curious :
1. What was the first drug that you ever took? How did it feel?
2. Did the experience changed the way you look at specific things?
3. Did you ever get seriously addicted to something while experimenting?
*i swear i'm not a cop ;-P
