I still have fond thoughts of my teenage years when I was just 16 {now 40} and I got to go to my first metal concert with Ozzy's bark at the moon tour with Mötley Crüe doing their Shout at the devil album. I saw some guy get the shit kicked out of him and so many people were smoking something or other and you could still get general admission seating ticket on the floor for 16 bucks so you could rush the stage and people everywhere it seemed where selling counterfeit T-shirts in the parking lots.
Ah the good old days.....
So what was your first rock concert and what made it memorable to you?
Slayer rocked really hard at that concert with Judas Priest.
It was the first time I saw them live.
They opened with "hell awaits".
It was a really good show.
Eddie was kick ass live!
Although I still wish I could of seen Davis Lee Roth instead of Sammy Hagar in Van Halen.
I Saw Sammy Hagar when he was Solo though and he was good there.
my first real metal koncert was with konkhra, diecide and suffacation they played at Huset (now called Voxhall) in Aarhus, denmark. this was long ago about 13 years ago i think and man i was freaking awsome.
stay heavy and keep it metal guys
by the way the new trivium album kick ass so check it out if you havent already
I didn't see my first concert until I was 17 years old (which is weird cuz I am a music nut) but it was the 2006 Ozzfest tour at the tweeter center in Camden NJ. The headliners were Sabbath (I missed) S.O.A.D. (which I missed) Disturbed, Dragonforce (sucked), Avenged 7x (missed) and a few more, but what made the show great was the second stage was headlined by Zakk Wylde and the Black Label Society. Fucking awesome! I was in my first mosh pit and in the midst of being tackled he started soloing and everyone stopped what we were doing and just stared at him until he was finished. One of my favorite moments ever.
