The Days Inn rate for 8/21 - 8/25 is now $48. Check out the Days Inn website for the updated price. If your paying more, call them and get the new price. Make sure you have the website up, so they can't BS you about the price not being there.

UPDATE: On ACOCO this morning Korey said the Live Spill Podcast will be at "Alamo Drafthouse: South". The closest Alamo I can tell that is "Alamo Drafthouse: South" is the one on South Lamar, which I've added to the map.

- I've removed the "Alamo Drafthouse Village" from the list. I've left the other two in, they're all pretty close to each other.

If any local Austineers reading this has clearer word on which Alamo the "Alamo Drafthouse: South" is, let me know and I'll edit the map for everyone.

UPDATED:
1) Added Jason's BBQ pick, "Rubys"
2) Added (if I remember correctly...) Jason's Comic store of choice, "Rouges Gallery"
3) Color coded the entire Map.
RED PINS: Official Spill Party Locations
BLUE PINS: Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn (and Hostels)
GREEN PINS: Places to eat, as suggested by various Spill Crew Members
YELLOW PINS: Neat Shops of Interest (currently, only Comic Book stores are listed. Feel free to suggest others, Austineers!)

A Lament: I wish Google Maps would allow you to categorize the location pins. Like, color code them. could be REd for Official Spill Party locations, Blue for Hotels, Green for suggested restaurants, YEllow for Comic Book Stores, etc... etc...

But nay. just one color pin, a smattering of location strewn about all wily nilly. No hope for organization this day.

Just figured out how to color-code. A victory for Organization this fine day.

ADDED: Cafe Mundi. mentioned by Kristin on the most recent LEOG as a good coffee place, also with a big Mural with characters from "The Maxx" nearby

UPDATED: Corrected the location of the Alamo Drafthouse. It will be the Alamo "Ritz" location on 6th Street in Downtown Austin.

I was talking to Leon about Gallery's I want to check out.

Can you add these.....

Blanton which is right by the UT campus and conveniently right across the street from the Texas History Museum, which houses our IMAX theatre. Just about walking distance from there on the UT campus is the Harry Ransom Center(which is pretty good too). Downtown is only a 15-20 minute walk from the campus area and that's where the Austin Museum of Art (AMOA) located. And practically across the street is the Art House gallery.
