Why can't you calm Batman down, McRib?
Okay, just wanna throw in my two cents on a discussion that's not even really news anyways/anymore?
Should the Director of Terminator 4 have done a better job of handling his actor? IMHO, as the director he's ultimately responsible for what pans out in the movie and on the set. Yeah, it's a tough job, but he should've closed the set down and not play into any rants, as funny as it was to hear Christian Bale go off on someone.
I'm surprised Christian Bale didn't make his own one man play where he yells at the audience for two hours, off Broadway loves that stuff. People will pay big money to have Christian Bale yell at them for two hours on stage.

But seriously, McG (is that even a real name, what is he, a wannbe rapper) should have done something earlier than let his actor speak to his crew like that. From the sound of the audio, he was pacifying Christian Bale and sounded a little afraid of him.

I've heard that actors can be jerks on movie sets (I'm not saying Christian Bale is one in this case), but even when Darren Aronofsky picked Mickey Rourke for The Wrestler (2008), he told his actor that he wasn't gonna tolerate any of Mickey Rourke's attitudes he was famous for in the 80s and early 90s, and that movie turned out pretty good.

As someone who worked on two small indie films/student films where the director totally goes postal and yells at his crew/actors, I see both sides of the story. I didn't like being yelled at by the director, when someone else blew the shot. But I also can understand the perspective of the actor who is trying to do his best work while someone is in behind the camera fooling around and not taking his job seriously.
Christian Bale is becoming one of the top actors in Hollywood today, because he really cares which movies he attaches his name to on a project, that's why he's so serious when it comes to his acting craft, on the same level as where Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino used to be.
But really, the director should've put his foot down a little sooner and man up to "The Batman!"
