was the new star trek movie pirfect HELL NO! But it was good enough that i cant help over looking its flaws and inconsistencys, Just to put it simply the more times i watched it the more i let it go. quite simply that flick was way the hell better than sex (litraly)

i'm confused about the story line. is it the acadamy? kirk spock scotty bones uhurs sulu chekove are all different ages. how can the be in the acadamey at the same time? kirk is a captain/06, bones and spock are commanders/05 sulu and uhura are 03 scotty is a commander /o5 checkov is an ensign/01. augh!! myhead..

Producer J. J. Abrams J. Abrams announced that Kirk would be a character in his upcoming 2009 Star Trek film and actor Chris Pine will play the role. This will mark the first time in 40 years that the famous pop culture character will be played by an actor other than William Shatner in an official production. Series creator Gene Roddenberry is said to have based the character on C. S. Forester's fictional hero Horatio Horn blower. The character commanded the iconic Starship Enterprise in two of its incarnations.
