Monster (made up of 4 real life sea creatures)

On 23Nov07, tagruato.jp was hacked by an unknown organization or person. The website was reduced to one page which consisted only of a title (TAGRUATO IS DESTROYING OUR OCEANS), and Ganu Yoshida's picture that was previously on the 'company profile' page, though modified. Now it is enlarged, horns are drawn on Ganu's head, the scene outside the window is different (a city being destroyed by a tidal wave) and there are various drawings of marine animals scattered around.

Sharp-sighted players noticed that there were names and numbers written in small print on each of the sea creatures. The crab says 'tanner', the jellyfish says 'irukandji', the octopus says 'dumbo' and the fish says 'ogrefish' (save the picture and zoom in to see it). These are actual, existing sea creatures. Roman numerals were also found on each of the drawings, as follows:

I. Tanner crab

II. Irukandji jellyfish

III. Dumbo octopus

IV. Ogrefish

V. Ocean/Wave/Tsunami

The first letters of each, in order, make 'TIDOO' - the acronym for 'Tagruato Is Destroying Our Oceans'. By changing 'Ocean' to 'Wave' and including the entire word instead of just 'W', 'TIDOWAVE' was obtained. Using 'TIDOWAVE' as a .com site led to its discovery on 01Dec07.

When I read up on the 4 creatures I discovered similarities between them and the monster and its parasites.

First off I notice the parasites.

They seem to be a combination (physically) between an amphipod (miniscule parasites, similar to those found on ogrefish and other deep sea dwelling creatures).

Secondly both the monster and the parasites have long crablike limbs and the parasites even move similarly to them.

Now, the Irukandji Jellyfish are extremely small (1.5 to 2.5 cm) and don't resemble each of the creatures physically, however they have a harsh venom which causes Irukandji syndrome. There are many symptoms that it occurs (it's apparently one of the most physically painful experiences that a human can go through). The symptom that leads me to believe that the parasites contain the jellyfish's venom is blood pressure increase. There have been recorded cases of blood pressure doubling upon being stung. The victims of the parasites start bleeding from their face and then explode. Since the parasites (as well as the monster) have gotten bigger over time (from eating Slusho's secret ingredient, the sea-bed nectar from the sea-bed from where the monster was found) it would make sense that the amount of venom entering entering a human's bloodstream could multiply their blood pressure to the point where they'd explode.

Moving on to the monster's appearance:

The face and teeth resemble that of the ogrefish:

It has ear-like fins much like those on the monsters head:

They move by pulsing their arms, shooting water through their funnel, or by waving their ear-like fins. The monster also has suction tubes at the bottom of its limbs (the scenes in which the monster uses them were cut from the film, but can be seen in the fourth installment of the manga Cloverfield/Kishin).

There is a lot more to be discovered about the biology of the creature. I don't have it all figured out, but the monster's body resembles that of a larval Black Dragonfish.

Again these are some similarities that I've noticed, and have compiled into a sloppy theory. I don't assume to know everything, and please add your two cents.
