Ideas for a teaser?

What would be the perfect teaser trailer for the Cloverfield sequel? I only have one idea, but of course, it still pertains to my idea of a news crew. So, here it is:

*Paramount logo statics up(like the teaser for the first movie)*

Voice:"is it on?"

*Bad Robot logo statics up)

Voice: "How's my hair?"

Voice #2: "It's fine."

An image appears of a news woman fixing up her hair at the New York harbor, close to the Statue Of Liberty.

Newswoman: "Are you sure?"

Cameraman: "I told you it's fine."

Newswoman: "Alight, let's do this."

Cameraman: "Okay. Rolling in 3....2....1.... go."

Newswoman: "Hi, *Name of newswoman* reporting at New York harbor to talk about the recent vandalization of the Statue Of Liberty, this historic landmark has been around for years, and just last night, strange forms of graffiti, possibly gang signs, have shown up on the statue's side. The eye in the sky news chopper has a clear view of it and......*Reaches into earpiece*...what? What are you talking about? What's heading towards the statue?"

Cameraman: "What is it?"

The woman and the camera man step a little bit closer to the statue. They see a giant tanker heading towards them.

Cameraman: "Oh my.....run..run RUN!"

They start running away, and after a bit of running, the earth shakes and the cameraman trips. We see the new york lights in the distance are blinking(much like what we saw in the first movie) before eventually coming back on. The newswoman runs to the cameraman.

Newswoman: "Are you okay?"

Cameraman: "I'm fine."

Newswoman: "How's the camera?"

Cameraman: "It's still running."

The two turn around and see the tanker grinded up against the statue of liberty with a giant hole on the side of the tanker.

Newswoman: "My god...*talks into earpiece* whatever you see, send it to the station. This is going to be big."

The Newswoman and Cameraman begin walking to get a better view of the damage. A large figure suddenly swims by in the water.

Cameraman: "What the hell was that?"

Newswoman: "I don't know."

Suddenly a thunderous roar is heard and almost instantaneously, a giant monster lunges at the tanker, causing a massive explosion. The explosions takes up most of the screen, the camera shakes around.

Cameraman: "OH MY GOD!"

The newswoman and camera man start running like hell. It's at this point the footage is starting to skip (little static, then picture, etc.). Another roar is heard, the camera looks up(still running away) and the statue of liberty's head comes flying over them.

Cameraman: "Was that the statue?"

Newswoman: "I don't know!"

The large footsteps are heard, they begin to get closer and closer. The two get to the news van, where two other guys are already inside, motioning them to get inside.

Crewman: "GET IN!"

They run inside and close the door, another roar is heard and the camera turn to see the hand heading for the door. It impacts and the van flips over, with everyone screaming.

BLACKOUT!

Everyone is okay, getting out of the flipped over van, the monster is seen tearing through the Empire State Building in the distance.

Cameraman: "What is that thing?"

Newswoman: "I don't know, but we're going to find out."

*Release date. Credits. End of trailer.*

Anyway, what did you think? It's not the greatest idea ever. Hell I was making up the beginning as I went along(had to come up with an excuse to get a news crew close to the Statue). Does anyone have any ideas? I would love to hear them.
