Shut the fuck up, Nolanites.

Information

Shut the fuck up, Nolanites.

For anyone who dislikes, likes, or even loves Christopher Nolan, but can't fucking stand the annoyingly ridiculous amount of praise that is heaped upon him and is spread around everywhere by the idiot geeks like a fucking disease.

Nolan is a fantasticly gifted director, but his interpritation of Batman is just so wrong. Even though most of his movies are action, the scenes of action really have flaws and quickly become confusing.

Even though he has made some great movies, CHRISTOPHER NOLAN IS NOT THE BEST DIRECTOR OF ALL TIME!

So they're like the Sherlock fandom but for movies?

Comment by Espeon on August 30, 2012 at 10:39pm

I like Christopher Nolan however i admit Inception, TDKR & Batman Begins have flaws. But the whole sending death threats to critic's who give it a negative review i'm just like to the Nolanites "Fuck Off you crazy people".

Thanks a lot for creating this group. I'm really tired of all the praise for Inception. This movie is not a masterpiece. The scrip is messy but Nolan's fans have called this a clever story. Nolan took 3 or 4 different plots and tried hard to make up a complex story out of them. The music is deafening. Some of the characters had no real aim and could have been removed easily without hurting the comprehensoin of the movie. All in all; Inception was enjoyable but I hate when they jump on my throat because I don't see it as a massive breakthrough in storytelling.

I love Memento, The Prestige, Batman Begins, and Inception, but I am really starting to hate anyone who even mentions the Dark Knight Rises. Dark Knight wasn't even that good...

I'm with you guys, and still CN has a few of my favorite movies (the prestige and momento) but i hate with a passion people who go inception was the most original movie in the world and its the best thing i have ever seen. it just pisses me off with a passion when people go completely insane for him, i like him, I've seen a bunch of his movies at midnight release but when people jizz all over the guy it annoys the shit outa me

Nolan, at least to me, is probably the best director WORKING TODAY (and by that I mean, at least, generally speaking, he's been making really good to great films consistently during the last 10 years) that I know.

He's probably in the top 10 or 15 of the best director of all time, Spielberg is obviously better since he's been making good to great films for more than 40 years.

And I haven't really seen the annoying side of "Nolanites" (I'd like to think not all if them are annoying), but I'm sure they're like any other blind fanboys.

@D-Devil

Obviously TDK wouldn't be as good without the Joker. I don't get your argument. That's like saying The Godfather 2 wouldn't be nearly as good without Robert De Niro, or Pulp Fiction wouldn't be as good without Samuel Jackson. The joker is an important part of TDK, like those characters/actors were. And FYI, I wasn't trying to compare the quality of those movies to TDK in any way, just trying to come up with examples.

I think that a group like this could be made when any big geek movie is being released. Maybe, "Shut the fuck up Joss Whedon Fans" since the Avengers is coming out this year, because a lot of people are excited for that movie. And after that, "Shut the fuck up Tarantino fans" when Django Unchained is released. Let's stay consistent, at least. There are always going to be stupid fanboys overhyping movies.

@Jerms1213:

Warning: This is an opinion, other's opinions will differ.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

If it makes you feel any better, TDK is in my top 10.

@D-Devil

You mean Rises, not Returns.
