I've long bee a fan of David Goyer. I really liked what he did with the original "Blade". It had a surprising amount of depth and is the movie that really started the comic book movie revival.
I also like Brian Helgland and I will defend to the death Jonathan Hensliegh's take on "The Punisher". -

I liked the punisher too, but kinda felt that it ripped off a lot of stuff from Mad Max...as for Blade, loved the first one, but hated its sequels.

Stephen Gaghan, even though I've only seen, like three movies he's written. They've all been pretty damn impressive. David Mamet as well.

Terrance Malick. Brilliant writer. I love every single one of his films.
Charlie Kaufman (and i can tell he's one of yours from your profile picture).
James Cameron. One of the greatest science fiction screenwriters.
Andrew Niccol. I absolutely love "Gattaca" and "The Truman Show".
Im sure theres a few others but these guys are all great. -
