Booked my flight. I will be arriving in Austin @0930 on Thurs June 14th with early check in set up.

First order of business, stopping at Gourdough's doughnuts! :)

I was just told yesterday that I need to track down the Gourdough's truck.  So I'm pretty sure my first question when I meet you will be Gourdough's related.

Unfortunately I won't arrive until 12:30PM on Thursday, so I won't be able to make the Barton Springs outting. 

Does everyone plan on going to Pinballz and/or Austin Karaoke that night?  I'd suggest at the very least hit up Austin Karaoke, even if it's just to watch John Rubio sing a little power metal (he's very good), plus it's BYOB.

I'll definately be going to Pinballz, might go to karaoke to watch other people sing / make dopes of themselves, but definitely won't be singing myself.

Just a head's up, talked to Jita over Skype...and the Club DeVille $5 cover (included if you paid the whole fee for the band) doesn't have an open bar. It's just unlimited Lone Star beers...which is y'know says in itself that it's free.

Since the club is mixed with a lot of non-spill clubbers (that would be the # of females excess of 5 with their boyfriends), I guess that $5 is their cover (one of the reason why I am too old for clubs, cover fees).

Just a heads up, Club Deville isn't very "clubby" if I remember correctly.  It's a big open bar with a beer garden.  Don't worry too much about it.

That's good. Jita mentioned that there were girls but they weren't part of Spill dot con last year. By that rationale, can I just walk in? 

IF that true, last year the pre-paid fee didn't cover anything but Lonestar beers? Cause if that's true then why am I paying $5 at the door?

I'm not going to pay that $5 for all three nights. Here in NYC, Midtown comics...IGN...UGO.com..Comedy Central do almost the exact same events 3-4 times a year except it's completely free. 

I'm just going to show up at Club DeVille, pay my $5 have a good time with you cats, and explore the city...which I already have a long list of good things to do. 

Definitely gotta make a trip to the Highball....

Did you purchase tickets for Spill.con ahead of time?  If so, I was under the impression that all covers were included in the pirce.  Don't quote me on that though. 

AS far as the Thursday premeet-up, I will try to make it, but no promises.  I have a bbq to attend, but might have a little time beforehand to make it downtown.  I know I am driving someone down there from the airport at least, so I will do my best to swing by.
