I dont think they should make a clerks three.....Clerks 2 was no where near as good as the original. It wasnt as funny, wasnt as creative, and didnt have any substance. Porch monkey for life was classic but I felt like Clerks was kinda the voice of a generation, Clerks 2 was a bunch of old men telling dirty jokes......come on a donkey show. I would love to see a spin off though, like Elias and Randal go to Cancun that would be hilarious
Fuck you ya dumbass! Clerk's 2 was fuck'n hilarious & if you can't stand a bunch fart joke's then obliviously you have no sence of humor, you fuck'n joke Nazi!
Kevin Smith has said hes not a big fan of making sequels; and Clerks 2 had a lot of pressure to be as good as the first one. I mean, I'm gonna watch anything Smith and Mosier write and direct, but the main reason I loved Clerks 2 was Rosario. Its going to be unfathomably hard to make a third movie with the same caliber as the others.

I think the reason most people didn't like the second one as much is because the first one had the element of surprise. Anyone who watches it for the first time has no idea what there in for. Especially when you look at the trailer for the first one. But the most shocking thing in Clerks aside from the Porch onkey thing, was the Donkey Show witched they showed in the trailer, so by then we all knew what was going down. I talked to Leon about this, and he said Clerks 1 is still funny because of the amatuerness of it. Which is probably true. If you look at Smith's work, the only ones I could see getting awards or huge acclaim, would be Chasing Amy and Clerks. I like all of them, but thats the way it is.
and I'd also like to add, I LOVED Clerks 2! I thought it was one of the best sequals to a movie I've ever seen. Sure, it's not like the first one in a lot of ways, but I think it's that their different is what makes it so great. Clerks 2 is so funny because there's new characters and just a bunch of new stuff in the Clerks world that just makes it so great! Maybe it's just me, but I flippin' loved it! Clerks and Clerks 2 are different, but fantastic nonetheless. They're both awesome in their own way.
and as far as the "old men telling dirty jokes" thing, I think that's part of what makes it funny. and I don't remember them telling dirty jokes. there's the ass to mouth thing, but other than that, there wasn't really anything else considered as a dirty joke. I dunno, that's just what I think.
My point was Kevin Smith was at a different point in his life when he wrote the 2nd. In the first film he didn't have to try and relate with the Youth because he was one. the second although hilarious at times didn't seem as genuine. Chasing Amy is my Favorite Kevin Smith movie because the subject matter is so personal....You saw his growth as a person in the film....I guarantee you if you asked KS what he learned from making Clerks 2 it wouldn't be much.
Okay, I don't even know where to start on this one.
But, brace yourself, it's going to hurt to watch.......
All I can say is "Poor Jackie, whatever happened to your respected career?"
