I'm registered as an unaffiliated and voting for Obama this year, does that count? I wouldn't mind voting for an Independent in future elections but I feel like Obama deserves my vote.

We shouldn't become slaves to these political parties. George Washington himself warned the government of large political groups that generalize political interest.

I might see An American Carol just for the sheer fact that it's Michael Moore getting trashed. Funny how that same weekend we have Religulous coming out the same night. David Zucker vs. Bill Maher. What a battle this will be.

I'm interested in this community and what it has to say-I'm probably qualified as a bed-wetting liberal in myriad ways-socially and keeping the government out of my business (I could be called Libertarian too to a certain extent-although I believe the idea of a tax-free society is naive at best). I'm fiscally conservative and my basic question to anyone considering any project is "Where's the money coming from and can we afford it?".

One of my things about American Carol I'd like to discuss is that this movie could have been a great puncturing of Michael Moore's ego-but it looks like just a bunch of neo-con talking points (Liberals hate America and Love Love Love terrorists and Hate Hate Hate patriotism, etc.).

Thoughts? What would a good non-partisan send-up of America's politics (and the never ending blue state vs. red state diversionary crap) entail?
