Aww but the ending was SO Cohen. They're not ones for spoonfeeding their audience with a schmuck ending then burping them if they don't quite digest it. You seen the installment in Paris Je t'aime with Steve Buscemi? Seven layers of awesome.
I watched this movie in the theaters not knowing what it was about and not knowing that I'd already seen some Coens' work and loved it. This film had me on the edge in the theater and amidst all the discussion that always pop up (namely on ACOCO haha) I rewatched it again a couple months ago. Still love it! Honestly the ending was more "..." the first time but it really didn't impact me as much as it everyone else. The entire film definitely outweighed the ending, at least for me.
I've wanted to read the book, interesting that the book provides more about what happened to Chigurh..or Noah was that just your inference? The only other McCarthy book I've read is The Road and while I liked it it didn't really shock me. Then again that was probably due to its style and topic. Would you recommend the book for someone who's already seen the film?

I like No Country For Old Men even with the ending!
so the world didn't get what they expected at the end, boo hoo!
it threw me a bit but it didn't make me do a 360o turn on the movie I say bravo!
I just finished the book and I have to say, though the ending was very crytpic, what I think actually happened was that Chigurh was caught and tried in court, but was found not guilty. I can't really tell though because I'm just trying to piece together Ed Tom's thoughts. Anybody have any other opinions?
I love No Country for Old men, even with its ending, which I kinda liked. And it's unfair for Carlyle,Ryan Corderman and everyone else to blow it off because of that
hey everybody, I really just started this group because I wanted to see how many people actually liked No Country even though its ending was....questionable.
