I just finished Buffy season 4:

Not as good as 3. The "coming out of the closet" stuff was disappointing. Kind of sappy.Cell from DBZ was the main bad guy, Whedon really loves anime. Poor OZ. A couple of really great episodes like Hush. The last episode was very creative and unique, Probably in my top 3 favorite shows of the buffy-verse. I think Spike was the best thing about this season.

Bottom line: Kinda disappointing. I'm thinking they could've stopped at season 3

I just finished season 3:

Brilliant! Very emotional and powerful. A couple of episodes through me off. Didn't like the filler episodes. It really seemed like Angel and Buffy were in love, I was truly convinced. I didn't like Faith until the end and I really felt sorry for her. I think this is the season that helps me understand why people love this show.

Bottom line: I could stop watching it right now and I'd be satisfied. How can they top this season?!

Buffy seems to have a lot of "filler episodes"

I just finished Buffy season 2:

Really long season. a little campy. Loved Spike's hostile take over. a little sappy but with good cause. Great sword fight at the end, really impressive ending. Ballsy! The vamps could have killed more. I understood angel's "get on Buffy's nerves" plan, but all the not killing made him look like a wuss(sorta).

Bottom line: Season 2, very enjoyable. But still not better than Firefly.

Main character dying - The principle.
Main character status defined by the fact that he was in every episode before that one and wasn't just a character brought on just 1 episode to die.

I would imagine that after trying to rape Buffy and exposing his extremely dark side, Zander's chances with Buffy would be slim to nil. Personally I felt uncomfortable every time he showed his feelings to Buffy after that.

Before that episode I wanted them to get together, but after episode 6 I knew it wasn't gonna happen.

Of course part of my comments could be attributed to my personal interpretations, but they did make a joke about Zander comiting attempted rape, or something like that.

Huh, I thought main character was described as being in the main credits. Or not being credited under "Guest Star" or "Special Guest Star". You know, like that guy... who was he... oh, yea. The principle. And Xander is spelled with an "X" Its short for Alexander. Weird that his family would give a sophisticated name, after seeing them in later seasons.

I'm also a bit confused Red Shirt I didn't get very far but I got past the first season and I don't remember any of that.
