Oh boy, I got a lot to say about this issue of Spazzcast.

First of all, Let me guess....one of you two has recently watched Beetlejuice

Sorry to burst your bubble Dr.Jay but my dad's cousin played a small role in Alpha Dogs and I still thought it sucked...it didn't get interesting till the last half hour.

Bradley Cooper or Nathan Fillion should have played Green Lantern, not Ryan Reynolds....I just don't see Ryan as Hal Jordon, he was pretty much born to play Deadpool so he should stick with Deadpool. My guess is the only reason they picked him was to ensure an audience because they fear the movie will fail....they know that Ryan will attract an audience on his own so they picked him. I don't think that The Green Lantern movie will have Marvel shell out a shitty script if anything they will push the movie back a year giving it an extra year to work on it.

Deadpool's costume is important and Ryan has confirmed they will have the costume and scaring in the movie, otherwise he won't do it.

Holy crap Dr.Jay...I mentioned that Matt Damon should be Daredevil in our commentary for Punisher War Zone or Iron Man (One of the two) and you said Matt Damon would never commit to a comic book movie....now your saying you wanted him to be Captain America. If you could see me right now, I'm rolling my eyes.

David Goyer is ....meh.....he's only good when he works with other screenwriters on the script. However I do think he should write a Green Arrow movie.. but the problem with Green Arrow (to me) is he doesn't have any good bad guys except maybe Onomatopoeia, who would be impossible to translate to film without it coming off as campy and ridiculous.

I agree Deadpool, the X-men hasn't had a good story in years. They need something new and something fresh, I could probably think of something clever to do with the X-men if I think about.... Hell I had an idea for an X-man story where Magneto finds out he has cancer or lead poisoning or some shit, and decides that he wants to kill every human being on earth before he dies, and the X-men have to stop him. I don't know if that hasn't been done before I haven't read an X-men comic in years.

I also agree that Aunt May should die, they could do so much with that, they could make Spider-man finally go off the deep end and kill someone (The guy who killed Aunt May), he could hook up with Mary Jane again because he's lonely and she fills the void in his heart, J. Jonah Jameson Sr. could go off the deep end and kills the guy who killed her and Spider-man has to take him to jail giving J. J. Jameson Jr. a reason to hate Spider-man even more.

As you can see I obviously listen.

I did not see BeetleJuice but I had the themes in my head all day.

Not liking Alpha Dog is a matter of opinion. I liked it a little more than most, mostly because I knew people like that in my life.

Just because Reynolds said the costume has to be in the film or that the movie will stay true to the comic means nothing. The Script is not written but his contract is already.

Yeah if I said that during the Punisher commentary it was because I hated that movie and was in a bad mood...although I still don't believe Matt Damon would ever sign on to do a comic movie UNLESS it was something like Captain America.

thanks for listening

The Dance scenes in Beetlejuice was one of the best parts, I remember having the shake senora song stuck in my head for two days exact.

I watched Alpha dog because my dad's cousin was in it, and I was expecting a secondary character role for her, but it ended up she only said one line. I didn't hate the movie, I did think it was bad and it kinda bored me....but I did like a few scenes. the last half hour is great stuff, an who can forget the crazy kid going into a bar full of asians and kicking all of their asses with karate.

Ryan Reynolds is part of the creative process that are currently writing the Deadpool movie, FOX has hired him to act as a gatekeeper. This movie is pretty much Ryan's baby, the only problem is that the baby is being held by FOX studios and we all know they will somehow screw it up. However I do recall reading somewhere that FOX wants to stay as close to the comic's as possible, so there is some hope in the movie.

My standards for this movie is going to be low, If I get a good action movie with a wisecracking Ryan Reynolds in a red and black ninja looking suit.....i'll be satisfied. I think DeadpoolandFriends said it best...The Deadpool movie should be Smokin' Aces with Deadpool.

Most of the Deadpool stories are the same, Deadpool is hired for a job and the job goes bad or it turns out that the guy who hired him only wanted to kill Deadpool for personal reasons. Same story with different characters and different jokes. However if we do the Smokin Aces approach, we could get a decent story. Just a story where Deadpool has to fight off other assassins (Bullseye, Typhoid Mary etc.) in order to kill a target and collect his pay....simple but it works.

I still think that Mark Valley would make a better Captain America, he looks more like him and he has acting experience.....If not him then I guess Matt Damon would be a good choice. But I still think Matt Damon would make a better Matt Murdock, and I'm sure Ben Afflack would push for him to do it since Ben said that he "Picked the role so he could have some fun"

Thanks for thanking me for listening.
