i think that light was a good guy and a bad guy
he did the right thing in the wrong way
he was doing that right thing with unesescary actions, but all in all i think he did a good thing

i don't believe in death sentences at all. So if there was a death note i think is shoud be destroyed.
And yes i still think that he is a bad guy. The first time he try to kill "L" he when from a good guy to a bad guy.

Klaus Lauridsen, in the show he is portrayed as the "bad guy", but is he really? if there really was a death note should it be used and if so by who? a lot of good came from the use of the note book but authorities felt threatened by the power that one man possessed. a few of them felt that death and other punishment should be decided by the judicial system, but this alone could not stop crime.

obviously there is a right and a wrong as to how the notebook should be use, but i think that if it were used correctly it would be wise to do so. if you compare it to something like a nuclear warhead, a weapon of mass destruction, they good both be used as a threatening tool. however a nuke could never be use to punish a single human therefore death note would be useful for this.

say a convict somehow manages to escape, don't worry about hostage situation or even chasing him simply use the death note. you could also compare it to a sniper, only more efficient and safer.
