Pool's Comics - July 27, 2008

DC
Two-Face: Year One #1 of 2 - This retells the origin of Two-Face and all the enemys Harvey Dent had. This is a really solid comic that left me wanting more Harvey Dent storys.
Rating: 10/10.
Ambush Bug: Year None #1 of 6 - This is what DC has been missing for a long time. A guy that breaks the fourth wall and makes fun of the company. I liked seeing all these Z list characters all in the same book.
Rating: 9/10.
Booster Gold #1,000,000 - Another solid Booster Gold story. This has a great moment with Batman in it but the greatest thing in the book is this one sentence Rip Hunter says.
Rating: 9/10.
Rogues' Revenge #1 of 3 - The Rogues' broke the one role they always kept, never kill a speedster. This is what happens next. Like always Geoff Johns writes an amzing Rogues' and I really hope after this he gets to write Flash some more.
Rating: 9/10.

Marvel
Black Panther #38 - Erik Killmonger is running around Africa trying to build hatred towards Wakanda but now Black Panther is done with talking to Killmonger and ready to fight. This is the last issue before the Secret Invasion tie-ins but this comic has a big reveal at the end of it.
Rating: 8/10.
Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. #31 - Tony Stark just can't get a break. He puts together an elite task force but still he can't beat this bad guys. Paladin comes out of nowhere and takes down Iron Man then Nick Weir, long time S.H.E.I.L.D. agent goes crazy and starts attacking Washington.
Rating: 7/10.
Iron Man: Legacy of Doom #4 of 4 - This is a good comic but you don't get anything from it. Iron Man and Dr. Doom fight a giant demon. Nothing that exciting.
Rating: 6/10.
Marvel Comics Presents #11 - Vanguard is killed, Machine Man is on a flying state, Stingray battles a huge Whale Monster and Weapon Omega goes crazy. I love this series, I love these storys, Next issue all the storys end so things are building up in this issue but my favorite is the Stingray one shot because we don't get enough Stingray.
Rating: 8/10.
She-Hulk #31 - The Skrulls are here well not here, more like Detroit. She-Hulk is turning a little savage lately so X-Factor decides to take here down, while this is going on Longshot turns out to be a Skrull but not any normal Skrull, a Skrull God!
Rating: 8/10.
SKRULLS! - This gives you info on every major Skrull ever. This is a great read if you want to know more about the history of Skrulls.
Raing: 9/10.

Moonstone
Captain Action: First Mission, Last Day - This one-shot gives you all the info that you need to know about Cap Action and his villians. This is my favorite indie book right now.
Rating: 9/10.

This weekends picks are Two-Face: Year One because it is the greatest Harvey Dent story ever and Rogues' Revenge because whats better then Geoff Johns writing a Rogues' book.
