Even though Marvel comics is far more popular than DC, I think DC has a history of creating better movies. Perhaps because DC is owned by Time-Warner, I don't know. But let's go down the list of Marvel and DC movies.
Marvel: Spiderman Trilogy: The first was good, the second was even better, the third disappointed.
X-Men Trilogy: The first was good, the second better, the third not so great.
Daredevil: Not good.
Elektra: Not good.
Punisher: Not good. Twice.
Hulk: Barely okay.
Incredible Hulk. Better than the first.
Iron Man: Perhaps the best Marvel movie yet. Along with Spiderman 2.
Fantastic Four 1 and 2: The first was annoying, the second was much better.
DC Movies
Superman 1,2,3,4: The first good, the second better, the third okay but Richard Prior made it better, the fourth...yuck.
Batman the Movie, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin: The first was great, the second was decent, the third was pushing it, and the fourth should have never been made.
V for Vendetta: Pretty Good.
Superman Returns: What the heck did they make this movie for?
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight: Two of the best darn superhero movies ever made. Period.
Did I miss any? Let me know, but I have confidence DC can pull it off. Don't count them out.
