This strange item could appeal to the meticulous model maker. When plugged into a USB port on your computer the owl's familiarly-shaped head moves and eyes blink. It's not hard to see how some sculpting and repainting could work here.

The robot you assemble from this kit uses 4 microphones to detect the source of a sound and move towards it. This could be a good starting point to build up from.Pocket Plasma Light with clip.
This small light resembles the one on CH3K's mouth that moves when he talks. It also has a switch to make it respond to sound.
