Yes are media rating system is much more liberal then in the U.S. does anyone know if they have a 14AA rating in the states?

No, they have G, PG, PG13, and R. We have G, PG, 14A, 18A, R.

ya thats kinda silly.. also when u factor in the amount they edit swearing and nudity on cable tv movies.. where as we do not for the most part

What the US ratings finds violent or racey, Canada ratings find them entertaining I guess.

ya but i think its funny because alot U.S tv show are very violent yet they have little tolerance for sex/nudity or swearing

If fuck is said more than 2 times in a movie (in the U.S.) it automatically recieves an R rating. What. The. Fuck. Its stupid.

I say the Ratings go like this....

A G movie in Canada is a G or PG movie in the USA
A PG movie in Canada is a PG-13 movie in the USA
A 14A Movie in Canada is a High PG-13 movie (Like the Dark Knight) or a Low R in the USA
A 18A Movie in Canada is a High R in the USA
I've only found two movies in Canada that was rated R and that was Robocop and Silence of the Lambs this was because of the disturbing content like the Melting man getting hit by the truck in Robocop or the Dancing Crossdresser in Silence of the Lambs

So in a way we tend to et alot of the Violence slide... hell The Forbiddon Kingdom in USA was PG-13, while in canada it was PG

Ya i think the lack of a 14A in the states throws off their rating system.
14A in my opinon is the perfect rating for movies like hellboy , Dark Knight etc Why would the Forbiddon Kingdom be PG-13??
