Yeah it's once again the most magical night of the year. Halloween. Ever since I was a young boy I have grown so attached to this holiday. The one night of the year were everybody can be somebody else for one night. Men, women, and children can become their fantasies. But mostly women get to dress in sexy clothing, and I can stare as much as I want.
First time I saw this video I was alone in a dark room in the middle of the night. Not the best place for a first timer for this vid. Starts with a slow creepy build into a terrify grind. Why are children so damn scary? The last minute is something of true nightmares. I've actually had that "thing" in my dreams, and I woke up with the living shit scared out of me.
Everybody has had at one time or another that feeling of being watched from the unknown. Being paranoid just doesn't affect the crazy. Just take it from the Geto Boys' 91' paranoia filled track Mind Playing Tricks On Me. Bushwick Bill's part seemed kinda appropriate for this list. And mind tricks have been the bases for all thrillers. Watch your back.
I remember dressing up as King Diamond for Halloween one year, and one person from my family know who the hell I was. King Diamond is Halloween; the make up, the atmosphere, the theatrics. This is one of my most favorite songs from Mercyful Fate.
I've not a fan of Rob Zombie's filmography, except The Devil's Rejects, but I do enjoy "some" of his music. The video is in the style of the 1920 silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. It also uses black and white film that has been tinted sepia, aqua, and violet for effect.
Remember clayamation. Remember werewolves before Twilight. Remember Beau Sia. Well this vid has all of those. I really like the general art direction with its mixture of black and white silent film and 80's B-movie.
Detroit's melodic death metal quartet, The Black Dahlia Murder, pay homage to George A. Romero's horror anthology, Creepshow. Senses from the music video are in the order, style, and even lines from the movie.
I know what your asking yourself right now. "Where's the hot vampires?" Well here you go.
Comment, discuss, add some of your favorite creepy, weird, creature feature, supernatural, ect. videos that remind you of Halloween.
