You people are crazy, this show ROCKED! It took the outdated an silly elements of batman and made a great series of stories from them!

I had to join this group to just say the show is not that bad. Im a huge Batman fan and Batman the animated series is my faviorte version of the character. Brave and Bold is not like Batman the animated series but thats ok. Everybody that wants this to be like that show needs to chill out. That was a good show but its over I dont want another show to be just like that. Their are many diffrent variations of Batman and this is just a more fun lighter tone. At first I hated it too but if you give it a chance and take it for what it is you might like it. Also you know their will be another version in a couple years if not less that will go in a diffrent direction.

I saw this show for 5 minutes once and it looked like a toddler cartoon. Must they deface the greastest superhero of all time?!

Yes I know that this show suck's hard core, but I found out something the other day while catching the end credit's at the end of the show. The dude who voices Batman is.....Diedrich Bader (for you who don't know who he is, he played as Oswald on "the Drew Carey show", he was the Gramercy pictures security guard on Kevin Smith's "Jay & Silent Bob Strike back" & he played as Peter Gibbon's neighbor on Mike Judge's "Office Space").

even though i still do not like this show - it appears smarter heads have prevailed at WB as they have hired 2 of the Batman:TAS/Justice League writers now! Paul Dini's first ep was 1x19 - Legend of the Dark Mite and was quite funny. And Stan Berkowitz's first ep was 1x23 - When OMAC Attacks. Both well above average for this series - no stupid kid jokes repeated over and over. Hopefully this level of writing quality will continue. Also Armin Shimmerman (Principal Snyder on Buffy) guest stars as Psycho Pirate in 1x24 Inside the Outsiders. Still - not my style of animation and has a LONGGG way to go before being even close to B:TAS or Justice League.

I watched one episode and that was it for me. The animation is plain ugly, and I don't care for the bizarre stories (I saw an ep with Batmen from alternate universes). Why was it even made? I dug The Batman far better but have only been catching reruns for the longest time. Has it been renewed? Anyway, Batman the Brave and the Bold? Why not name it the Bold and the Beautiful! Cheesy name. But I guess it fits such a cheesy show. The only thing brave and bold about this show is the people who actually took a shot at making such a horrid show.

I have been an anime-lover for some time, one of my favorite series being Batman: the Animated Series, created sometime around 2000. In my travels I have seen great anime, good anime, and bad anime, but Batman: the Brave and the Bold placed itself, on a silver platter, straight up to the top of my "shows that suck" list the moment I set eyes on the TV screen. Kids are always talking about how awesome it is, but in my personal opinion the show's just as crappily corny or worse than the early 1990s version of Power Rangers. (I really don't get the wierd poses they do and their weapons and vehicles just look so FAKE in the actual world.) Either way though, I digress.

This Batman series has no merit WHATSOEVER; the plots have absolutely nothing to do with the Batman/Gotham storyline, and don't tell me Batman's taking a "new turn;" Batman himself looks like one of those humpty-dumpty sidekick type heros who always get captured by some no-good bad guy; a lot of the graphics resemble some series from the mid-80s; and Batman is a lot of times off in some place he really shouldn't be, like in the old west wearing a poncho in some episode called "Return of the Fearsome Fangs." I watched the sneak peek out of sheer curiosity; look it up. I promise, if you're a Batman fan, it'll seem REALLY screwed up.

Many may argue that it's a kid's show, and that a tame beat-up-the-bad-guy series should be made for them. I agree with that, but why did the creators have to completely butcher the great "Batman" name? If you really haven't noticed, Batman isn't supposed to BE a young kid's show. Lightening up Batman doesn't exist; he hangs around with bats in a dark cave hiding in shadows. If you want make it lighter, change the name, or at least leave out "the brave and the bold" phrase, or as my little brother likes to call it, "the brave and the butt."

Sorry for the long review, just wanted to contribute, but I don't think anime is going very far right now.

Can anybody answer me back though, what's up with the one Batman show at a time rule? I heard about it from one guy's post on a website. I've never heard about it before.

So it's been a while since I really touched on my feelings about a new cartoon starring Batman. I think initially I was more indifferent than outraged. People were ready to grab pitchforks and torches and march over to Cartoon Network. I was more of that mindset after they killed Toonami, but I digress.

But look: there are many different ways to interpret Batman and his universe. And more than one way he's captivated you. What really got me into Batman to begin was I liked the Tim Burton movies and the 1960s Batman TV show that they played reruns of on syndication. Also of course the Superfriends.

I never really started having preferences over how Batman should be perceived until the late 90s, early 2000s. I adored the hell out of Batman: TAS and also the Nolan films. And thanks to the comics, I reaffirmed my belief Batman works best when is more like a Byronic hero than a Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

So with this new show, I know part of me is saying and reasoning I have no reason to like it because of my recent perceptions and preferences for Batman. But I can honestly say that even though it is quite popular to dislike the campy 1960s Batman, it was that campy 1960s Batman that made me a fan in the first place. So a large part of me would give this a chance, and in time, maybe I will. But as it stands now, while I like Batman as a dark, brooding character, I can understand why Batman - The Brave and the Bold is popular. It celebrates the Batman we grew up with.

So as it stands now, I actually am less indifferent and more curious. Until I catch on, I'm on the fence still, but wouldn't mind climbing down to see it for myself.
