When I first saw the previews for this show, I was like "omg yay! campy batman :D" I am personally tired of seeing batman as a brooding dark character (even though, that is what he has become) I feel he still maintains some of his orginal aspects in this show but with a cast of light hearted characters that really reflect off of his "no bullshit" adititude

Comment by Jose Antonio Rivera on December 8, 2008 at 7:39am - You know, for years I always wished we'd get a Brave and the Bold or DC Comics Presents animated series, and now that I've seen the first three episodes...yeah, I like it! The designs were hard to get over when I first saw the announcement for this, but once I saw some footage, I was willing to check it out. The first episode was good but once I saw Plastic Man in the second one, I knew I'd end up liking this. This week's with Aquaman was great and I'm looking forward to the Booster Gold episode

Honestly, if you get past the the design of Batman- which is close to the Dick Sprang look- it's every bit classic Batman and not "corny" or dumbed down.
It's closer than "THE Batman".
