People don't realize how monumental this is. For the first time on history, we can have a man of color as our president. That means that for the first time, that anyone, any color, creed, religion, & gender can have that dream of becoming president of the USA. Ya know, in black communities we are told (even by our own people) that we can only be Entertainers. For years b-cuz of my height I was told "I AM SUPPOSED TO BE A BASKETBALL PLAYER".
That always struck a nerve with me. It made me lose my enthusiasm for the game. I always pictured myself as a scholar, an artist that just so happens to play basketball. Well I told myself that I was gonna be something more than just a entertainer. I wasn't gonna let people dictate who I'm to become. This man is an inspiration to us all. I thank God that I am here to witness this.

I happened to see that Hardball live and I could not lift my jaw up off the floor. It was one of the most unbelievable things I've ever seen. And to think that in 2008, there are people (and not old southern white men) that actually have the balls to say these things is beyond shocking.
