Paramount has started to pull these images off the internet. Apparently they are test shots or something, not meant to be promotional. (you can tell by the crappy editing of the poster hehe early stages, much?) It's only a matter of time till these go down.
If they do get pulled, I have them so send me a message if you want to see them again, as it will be that I can't show them publicly. that is, if they do end up getting pulled =D
First the costumes they look good not embarassing or anything. Now the nit-picking begins; Aang's costume is fine i dont think they could make it look much better. Zuko's costume needs more red in it. Katara's and Sokka's costumes should be blue like they were in the show.
Now the actually actors. Personally I don't care about the skin tone, more the prefromance. If the actors give the feel of the characters, make us believe they are Anng, Zuko, Katara, Sokka and the rest then I'm fine. The look(other than skin pigmentation) of the actors is ok but there is more nit-picking.
The hair of Zuko and Sokka doesn't look right they but if they had the hair cuts from the show i guess it might look pretty strange the shaved parts anyway. Though Zuko does need a ponytail and his scar needs to be bigger and stand out more. In the show the scar covered his entire ear.
Lastly Anng's arrow on his head I would like to see it fully coloured in before I can make a dission. Who knows maybe they tried it that way originally and it just didn't look right.
Give your opinions I want to here them even if it is just out right hatred based on prejudgement of what the movie is going to be like.

The catroon was very stylized because it was that-- a cartoon. They were gearing it at a younger audience and could afford to make all the water people wear blue, and the fire people wear red ect. But in real life, that wouldn't work. What animal in the south pole (or anywhere for that matter) produces blue leather? Katara/Sokka's costumes are fine, as this film is going for realism.
Zuko's scar is right on. I know in the show it was huge and red but that is not at all what a burn scar actually looks like. What they have done here is much more realistic, and if you look closely, you'll see that it actually covers his whole ear. Even some of his hair is scorched. Also, his ponytail would look very creepy IMO. haha, but there IS a ponytail hairstyle on his helmet, if you've seen it, and its a very cool throwback to the show's original design.
All in all, i love what is happening here. Skin tone doesn't bother me either, its all about how well they can act. They all look the part and I'm confident that this movie will do big things!
