Permalink Reply by Stupendous Man on June 6, 2012 at 11:56pm I'm guessing he's Momo, reincarnated as a human. He always seemed shifty to me.
PS. I like how you added smooth pimp as a tag.
Permalink Reply by Flounderboy on June 7, 2012 at 9:58am Ha, well he DID go to that lion turtle spirit island with Aang. My money is on the librarian trapped in that desert library.
Permalink Reply by Tarek Awar on June 8, 2012 at 10:54am i think Amon is the guy in Korra's visions, Yakone, the man who Aang dealt with 42 years ago. and he journeyed to the spirit world to learn energybending cuz it was done to him by Aang.
Permalink Reply by Stupendous Man on June 10, 2012 at 1:28am Yeah I've been thinking he might somehow be connected to the spirit world.

But Yakone was pretty old back then.....don't you think he would be just a little too old now? Besides, would Yakone be evil enough to take away his own son's (Tarrlock) bending away?
Permalink Reply by Flounderboy on June 9, 2012 at 12:04am This is a far out there theory, but I think Amon could be the mysterious firebender that killed everyone's relatives. Maybe he had and accident when he was learning fire bending which resulted in him hurting himself and killing his family, the fire ferret's parents, and Asami's mom. Then he somehow figured out how to spirit bend and built up a misguided hate towards all benders.
I don't really know, but I do think he is a bender. I doubt that a non-bender could spirit bend. But then again, is it really spirit bending? It lacks the flashiness of the technique that Aang used.
Permalink Reply by Hank on June 11, 2012 at 2:46pm I also believe that Amon is a bender, and to me your theory makes a lot of sense. I don't think Yakone and Amon are the same person, i just think that's kinda of a weak storyline to go with but who know they can more than likely make it work.
Permalink Reply by Tarek Awar on June 11, 2012 at 12:00pm as for the age look at Bumi. the man was 112 years old, en of story. i feel it was yakone by losing his bending to Aang. he pretty much gets a taste of his own medicine by a a-hole firebender, hence the birth of Amon. i like to think of Amon as V from V for Vendetta with the quote, "behind this mask there is a face, but it's not me." and after he had his bending taken away, and being from the northern tribe, since Tarrlok is from there. he managed to enter the spirit world and an evil spirit (like Koh) pretty much made him the Anit-Avatar.
Permalink Reply by Hank on June 11, 2012 at 2:43pm I love the mystery behind Amon's identity, it's one of the things that keeps me coming back every week. I love The Legend of Korra, I still prefer the original series over it but Korra is awesome.
Permalink Reply by Flounderboy on June 11, 2012 at 11:02pm Yea me too. I love both series but the original takes the cake for its superior pacing and humor.
