Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate

Having just joined this group, I have noticed a lack of blissfully violent and torrentially bloodletting anime. Therefore I start this discussion about one of the greats, Hellsing.

You've got the strongest undead vampire around, Alucard (or Arucard if your piccy). Wears red, has custom guns too powerful for any human to handle, and is by and large impossible to kill in either T.V. series or OVA format. He loves killing and we love him for it.

The OVA is better than the TV series, no doubting that. If you want serious, then you're better off with the TV series because the OVA follows the tradition of the manga, and all of the killers there always have a joke or two in them. ALthough I will admit I liked Seras being a more competent character in the TV series than she is in the OVA.

I'll leave further judgements about which series is superior to you fine people. I saw the TV series before they released the manga (yes I pay for certain manga instead of reading the scanlation), so I naturally like it. Not better than Ultimate because both series have redeeming qualities. That said, Anderson's voice actor in the TV series was better than the guy they have in Ultimate. Through the first series and the manga, I expect Anderson to speak with a THICK accent.

I'll shut up now so you can point out all of the stuff I definitely missed.
