Ok I know there have been dozens of movies made from animes movies and shows, with more on the way (Witchblade, Voltron, etc.), but has there ever been a live action movie that you've wanted to be made into an anime series and/or movie? Here are some examples that prove it could work.
The Animatrix - a really cool combination of differant stories from the matrix. This takes place between the Matrix and the Matrix Reloaded. Not only are the animation style for each story differant, but they're each unique to each artist's vision. Heres one such example from the movie. Final Flight of the Osiris was done entirely done in CGI (which I consider a new form of extreme animation)
Highlander: The Search for Vengence - While the movie may not have been the best, it still captured the Highlander Universe. Not to mention it has some really kickass fights in it as well.
Batman: Gotham Knight - Some of the best animation I've seen for a Batman movie. Taking place between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, it has the exact some style as the Animatrix, even the same artists designed it as well. Whats better its has at least 6 differant animation styles with 6 interlocking stories of the Dark Knight. If this isn't enough proof that a animated series or movie could be made from a movie then I don't know what is.
Well now its your turn. What are some really good animated movies based off Live Action movies, whether it be a remake, sequel, prequel anything at all. Love to hear your thoughts!
Does anyone else think that District 9 and Zombieland would make awesome anime series or manga? Just think about them. Instead of starting the series where the movies start, show the characters/situations at the beginning. Then work their way up to the movies' time, keep the movie as is, then continue the story within and manga or anime or both series. Once the plots have been continued and characters have been developed on a new level and some new ones introduced, input a twist/epidemic/something. Flesh that out a little with the series before launching a new movie.
