I've actually read a lot of the manga (up to the female JoJo). I really enjoy the series, but I often don't have enough time to watch the anime. But it is an insane work of genius. I'd say it is in my top 3 next to One Piece and Berserk.

well the OVA is okay but the manga itself is very epic lol
the OVA dose good in telling the 3rd story of JJBA but it's very shortened so I like to think it's a nice introduction to the serise and if you enjoy the OVA I say go read the manga :)

well give the manga a read and the OVA a watch (but mostly go read the manga lol)
it's a big cult manga with alot to offer :)

I'll admit, often I found the manga's artwork off. Sometimes characters were drawn like they were striking poses for no good reason. But I liked the story and characters enough to keep reading. Plus its one of the few series where strategy is used in battles, which is neccesary considering how broken some of the powers in the series are

very ture about the powers but when it comes to that think about what One Piece says 'you can get strong by using the power in different ways' so when the bad guys are crazy powerful all you got to be is smart and you'll find a way to win!

but also the posing is the best part lol manly posing is just fun, their are sites just all about JoJo posing :)
i think more mangas should bring back the hero pose
