Also the comments of....well pretty much every single video on youtube is pretty depressing, its amazing how racism and politics can pop up in videos that have nothing to do with politics or race.

This isn't a dumb video, but it validates Randy Flagg's main point. I read this guy's book, recently, and it is one of the most disturbing books I have read in my life.

The Cult of the Amateur by Andrew Keen. The book talks about issues such as internet piracy, how blogs undermine professional journalism and often lie to the public, how search engines such as Google undermine our privacy rights as individuals, how advertisers covertly use social networking sites like YouTube and MySpace to market their products (it's not as harmless as it sounds), and overall how Web 2.0 (or user-friendly) technology prevents professionals and talented individuals from being noticed because they are being drowned out by a sea of amateurs.
