So I know its kinda early, as it's not out till tomorrow, but people like me .i.e british people have seen it so I can get a few posts, and you will all get a chance to see it wendesday.
Everyone said the exact same thing about Transformers 1. They were completely wrong. The first film is 70 percent bad jokes and 30 percent robots fighting. Wait, 5 percent robots fighting. The other 25 is robots fighting some random soldiers we don't give a fuck about.
So, my question to you is this. Was there ever a period when you were sitting in your seat thinking to yourself "how long's it been since a robot fight? Too. Fucking. Long!" Because I sure as hell asked that a lot with the first film.
Did you feel there was a lot of action in the first movie?
most the action was towards the end of the film in the first one, and to be honest, even though there is alot more crazy action in this one (I think because it got straight in with the story) there are some long periods with no fighting, but not really long enough for me to start questioning it. And the gags are still bad.
well they are in constant danger. they arent going to stop and spell it out for the person they are talking to. im sure you would be calm as fuck in their situation.
The best part about the complaints about Transformers is that people are expecting an epicfrom a 30 second toycommercial intoa 2hr movie. nearly any plot you have will be cartoony along with the action. Its science fiction and not real world even. Theres no way to make a"good" movie here. Fun but not good.
nothing transformers has ever had a good plot. oh look a giant robot planet just came out of no where (unicron was later explained) to eat a bunch of planets. transformers isnt supposed to have a good plot, never has and never will.
I havn't seen it,and who knows when I'll see it but I do know that I am going to enjoy it for what it is, a summer popcorn flick.
I really don't see why people are getting so pissed over this movie, or the first one for that matter. It was never promised to be this great epic movie. When I look at the trailers I see what looks like a whole bunch of explosives with some cool transforming robots held together with a bit of plot. I bet that's what i'm going to get.
