i loved it i thought it was a great story and the writing and acting were wonderful. the only thing that bothered me was the directing, i thought it was terrible.

They could have done more with this film. It had potential to be great, but turned out just mediocre.

I thought it was so unbelievably meh. It's annoying because i've had so many of my friends ask me about it and i have no strong opinion either way. If you want to see it, then you could go see it and won't be disappointed. If you don't want to go see it, well don't.

I don't think any of my friends believe that i've seen it due to my startling apathy towards it.

all my friends are going tomorrow but I've told them I was quite dissapointed with it, yet there all like we don't care its johnny depp, looks good ect. yet I have lots of reasons why it isn't that good and chances are there going to tell me I'm wrong as well.

Long and boring, and with the most anticlimatic ending ever, I know that's how it ended in real life, but seriously. When they said Christian Bale and Johnny Depp together in the movie I imagined something like an acting duel, except, wait, they were together 3 seconds, c'mon, even Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro spend more time together on "Heat".

There is something really wrong lately with Michael Mann.

I'll go with "Avatar: The Last Airbender", the music is so awesome and not having it's own OST it's a complete wasted opportunity. The closest there is the composers' MySpace page. You guys got any examples?
