First off I have to say I have not ever read one Potter book.
So this is from a movie goers view only.

I went and saw it Wednesday and like with all the Potters movies I was not disappointed.
Although while I saw the movie. The movie in my opinion was not the best of the series so far.
This movies had some good laughs as the main cast goes through their prepubescences of crushes and heart breaks and find adventures and uncovers schemes. It didn't really move me as much as its 3 predecessors.
I feel this movie has more of a role to thicken the plot for the next movies yet to come in the Potter series which I hear are in production.

To me this was the potter version of the empire strikes back.
the dark forces yet again score another victory against good and Potter {our sky walker} has yet to develop his powers enough to take on the powers of darkness.
I could write more but why spoil it if you have not seen it yet?
Overall, Good movie, full price,

This movie was flawed, no doubt. But in my opinion it was ultimately pretty sick.
Nearly every aspect of the film was awesome. The best Potter film yet.

Alright, I'm that guy that read all the books. So naturally, I had a few problems.
However, I'm in the opposite boat, and I wanted some of the tiny details cut out.
The scenes with the Chosen One and the giant Spider were included, but the Movie's namesake, The Half Blood Prince segment isn't really fleshed out or even explained. Main plot points were put aside just for the tiny things that make the fans happy.

And, my biggest gripe is that in the end of the book, There is a freaking battle.
The movie portrays it more as a assasination. That was the perfect oppurtunity for an awesome fight, but..... no.
However, it was visually incredible, and pretty funny.
A good movie, even if it inexscusably ignores important events. Full Price.

The Aragog scene felt unnecessary (though it was funny; which some would argue, it shouldn't have been) but it did set up the very important scene in whcih Slughorn gives Harry the memory. So I was able to let that slide. I do completely agree with the Half Blood Prince segment point. The book devoted a lot of time to trying to figure out who the Half Blood Prince. It didn't feel like there was a lot of suspense or mystery surrounding it.

According to Wikipedia much of the book's ending has been changed, with the climactic battle and Dumbledore's funeral being removed. Producer David Heyman commented that the end battle was removed to "avoid repetition" with the forthcoming adaptation of Deathly Hallows.

I guess this means that they cover it in the next film. I hope so, because that was a major (and really cool) part that should have been in the movie, in my opinion.

Plus, I feel Bill Weasley should be in the movies somewhere since he's sort of a big deal in Deathly Hallows in helping Harry, Ron, and Hermione hide out for a bit.

I'm a big fan of the books and the films so I have to say this book was my least favorite and the same goes with the movie. As a fan I thought it was faithful spirit but it felt too random and certain scenes were plopped in any old way that it kind of detracted me a bit but this was not to say it was bad movie it just wasn't clicking with me. 8 out of 10.

I gay it a 7.5/10. I liked it, but was heavily disappointed with the end.

Or maybe the more appropriate, "gave"?

I really did enjoy it almost throughout and I didn't really read the books, but near the end I felt indifferent and well not emotionally impacted. Though it has good acting, cinematography, directing, humor, and whatnot yet need some script work for the end.

8/10
