I have never read the book, and I expected the book to be better anyways. That's how it always is with adaptations. I felt the same way with The Golden Compass, which I actually read the whole book before seeing the movie, and I was downright disappointed and upset over what they did.
As for Angels and Demons, I liked it way more than DaVinci Code as a movie. There are still complaints I have with the movie in and of itself, but this sequel, which in actuality should have been a prequel, was better than the first movie, but could have been Full Price if they stuck closer to the book.
