Permalink Reply by Zgamer on December 24, 2012 at 7:15pm I will boil it down to my five most anticipated games:
1.) Bioshock Infinite- I actually like both the first two Bioshock games (1 is better, 2 is still a good game), but HOLY CRAP! This game is just...wow. Ever since the first E3 demo, I was hooked. Terrific art design, imaginative setting, fun combat, more enemy variety and great combat make this look like a contender for my Game of the Year already. I cannot wait.
2.) The Last of Us- Copy my reaction to the above game and paste it here for when I saw its E3 demo. Some of the most impressive hand to hand combat I've ever see, great voice work and a chance to put a spin on the zombie genre. Will it go through some familiar tropes and elements of the genre? Most likely, but Uncharted did too and look how great 2 and 3 turned out.
3.) Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm- Technically a sequel and technically an expansion, but I still want to play it. The first campaign left me hanging so much that I want to see how it continues. Starcraft is one of my favorite games ever and if the sequel can continue that level of excellence, I will be very happy.
4.) Grand Theft Auto V- I will admit to not being the biggest fan of Rockstar Games. There is so much that great about their games that the things that irritate me (mostly the "quirky" side characters that come off as creepy and unlikable in unappealing ways) stink enough to sour the experience. However, their games do also tend to push the boundaries of gameplay, storytelling and immersion capabilities in terrific ways that I can't not want to see how this turns out.
5.) Beyond: Two Souls- I loved Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit and I enjoyed a lot about Heavy Rain. These guys are doing a lot to push interactive fiction and motion capture in interesting ways. I still hold out hope that they will make the Kara tech demo into a full game after Beyond, but what I've seen of this game is enough to make me want to play it.

Permalink Reply by Mo-Mo on December 24, 2012 at 8:45pm I don't wanna say The Last Of Us since I think that's what everyone is gonna say (even though the newest trailer is bad freaking ass). I think Shin Megami Tensei 4 comes out next year which I'm really looking forward to and Beyond Two Souls seems really interesting.

Permalink Reply by Mo-Mo on December 24, 2012 at 10:49pm I didn't know they were starting season 2 in 2013.
Permalink Reply by Zgamer on December 25, 2012 at 2:22am I don't think there are plans to release it yet. They announced Season 2 a while back, but that's all we know so far. From looking on the site just recently, it might be longer than 2013 since they have other projects in the works. I would love for it to be 2013, but that is a very ambitious goal. They may need more planning than that to work out a good story. Cross fingers just in case.
Permalink Reply by Ultimate Snyderman on December 25, 2012 at 8:23pm According to reports, at least the first episode is planned for a release for 2013.
