So we know already that the knew X-Men movie is taking place in the sixties and that it will not be featuring the team that anycomic reader knows to be the First Class team of Xavier's. I want to know what you guys think of this knew movie, or how you think it'll shape up to the already released X-Men movies.

IT's going to suck, and here's why.

X-Men 2 was a pretty good movie and made in 2003

Since then, 20th Century Fox has made six superhero movies.

Those movies were League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Elektra, Fantastic Four, X-3, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Not only are these bad superhero movies, but these are some of the worst superhero movies made in this past decade.

So it's not a question of whether or not First Class is going to be good, it's a question of how Fox is going to manage to screw this up.
Yes, well that too.
Guess i've gotta agree about that. However, the trailer looks somewhat promising.

Everybody be hatin' X-3...

I agree with the rest of those by Fox being attrocious, though.

My problem is that the studio is claioming that they've messed with the timeline because of how the other X-Men movies were done, yet so many don't make sense. Havok but no Scott? Hank McCoy changing into the blue Beast when he was shown in the fuirst two films as human? I get the fact that studios do have a bit of leave way with those sorts of things, but I despise it when they use it as an excuse to completely deviate from the original.

Ill have a good feeling about this movie becuase the trailer sold me and because Matt Vaughn is directing.
From the trailer it looks like a decent ++ action flick with mutants. So im guessing it's definetly a movie to check out.

All of the X-Men movies are nothing like the comics anyway so how much worse can thaey get? ya know? i will probably end up seeing it because i am curious on how it all plays out.

I have faith in Matthew Vaughn although the short production time makes me nervous. Speaking as a nerd, I'm not a fan of how they're messing with Havok and his origins, background, etc. Finally, those recent posters were awful. Regardless the trailer was great, the JFK voice-over sold me and I'm confident it'll be a surprise hit this summer.

Dont know if this was covered but X:Men First Class was poorly made and they totally messed up the X:Men storyline. The Hell-Fire Club was NOT the first class of the Xavier School of Gifted Youngsters....Just thought I would get that out there....

20th Century Fox could of redeemed the storyline but screwed it up even more just because of how the other movies are made. I had high expectations of this movie and they really did let me down. BUT only good point in the whole movie was that Kevin Bacon did play a great powerful villain and did a great job doing it.
