i saw it. I hated it. now i know it's a kids film but the movie had no character development. The fact the the aliens were retarded took away any threating feeling they had. And the monsters were to retarded to to feel like outcasts. poeple were running and screaming, but the monsters were just like uuuhhhhh why's everybody running. All the characters were the same from begining to end except for gigantica who goes from i'm marrying a complete and obvious dick, to i beat an army of aliens, i'm miss independent. yahhhh. good animation can't do jack squat for garbage story telling and next to no charater deveolpment.

I'm sorry but Monsters vs Aliens was not kick ass. At no point did it grasp me and say "hey look how impressive this is!"

Everything about it felt unfinished from the sets, to the characters themselves. There were large baron stretches of space and the action sequences lacked any real peril at all.

The worst part of all was the villain who was not capable of seeming like a threat at all. If you want a goofy but threatening villain it's totally possible with characters like the villain in The Incredibles, who was both goofy and a capable villain.

When the main villain's as dumb and incapable as his clone army, it just lacks any punch.

Watch that movie again and just look around... it's an empty hollow film with no life to it at all.

But not the worst movie of the year at all...

they were OK at best. The gimmick had worn off by then and I was bored. 3-D isn't enough to make any movie awesome on it's own. It has to have story, and polish. It was as if they had an unfinished film and threw on 3D in order to sell it to the masses. It didn't matter if it was in 3D or not... still doesn't.

ass hole comment? Dude it's an opinion on a movie.

Just because I disagree with you doesn't make me an ass hole dude. I'm just stating my case for why I think this movie had major flaws and wasn't as good as everyone else was saying it was.

And I didn't think the 3D was that good. It wasn't used to it's full potential. Like I said... watch that movie again and look at the environments. Many of them are poorly textured, empty spaces filled with simple geometry and almost no life at all... especially the bbq... it looks like that scene is half finished or rendered.

dude people say shit because it's easier to hate than it is to get to know some one... I only make ass hole comments when people deserve them.

When we're talking movies, I try to keep it on topic, but I'm not going to like call you a cunt cuz you liked a movie. I like plenty of movies that some people think suck a dick.

That's why you find a critic you like, and you pay attention to their opinion.

Oh and FYI... most critics are ass holes... It's because we want to be heard and we're opinionated and we enjoy arguing. People who write opinion pieces always are ass holes. Just the way the world works...
