Worlds I would like to see in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Life has many questions and one of them is when the hell is Kingdom Hearts 3 coming out?! It's been six years since we've gotten a new console release. Kingdom Hearts 3 should be next because Dream Drop Distance links the two together. Like how Chain of Memories linked one and two together. So while playing Dream Drop Distance I started to think what worlds should be in Kingdom Hearts 3. On a side note Dream Drop Distance is really fun and if you own a 3DS you should at least rent it.
So anyways I would love to see the return of Deep Jungle aka Tarzan. Deep Jungle was a really fun world in which you could surf on the tree's and swing on vines. I would love to see Neverland in the next one. I know Neverland was in Birth By Sleep and 358/2 Days, but I would love to see it in HD! Pride Rock would also be a nice return.
I would love to see some Pixar worlds in the next one. I know some won't work like Finding Nemo or Wall-E. A Incredibles world could work by having Syndrome controling the heartless. An Up world could work as well by doing the same thing. Toy Story and Monsters Inc could work if they have a good story behind it.
A Lilo and Stich world is really likely because you could summon stich in the second one. Now before you type that " Just because you could summon him, it doesn't mean his world will be in the third one comment" just hear me out. In Kingdom Hearts you could summon Mushu and Simba. In the second game you could vist their worlds. I wouldn't like to see another Aladdin, Nightmare Before Christmas, or a Little Mermaid world, because they used the living shit out of them and I would like to see something new.

For all the Kingdom Hearts fans, I have a question. I liked the first one a lot when it came out, and had a decent time with the second one as well. If I was interested in playing the third one whenever it comes out, do I need to play the hideous amount of in-between games that have been released to understand what will be going on? Or do those games take place outside the main storyline?

Yes. all the stories have been building up backstory for KH3.
you could just wiki read it.

The new one, Dream Drop Distance tells you everything you need to know about all the games. But I say you should only have to play Birth By Sleep (PSP) and Dream Drop Distance. (3DS) 358/2 Days is just more back story to KHII.

I'm hoping the entire game takes place in The Little Mermaid world of KH2.
