Sexism aside, that is a very good question. I mean, the Spill Crew (Who are mostly male) make a point to review movies that would appeal to the opposite gender and even gauge their ratings on whether or not an audience of the opposite sex would enjoy them.

Why cant a woman reviewer do the same?

I don't think there's such a thing as a "legitimate movie critic who specializes in zombie and slasher flicks." There's the unofficial shit...like BadMovies.org...but...
