Why Don't Critics Like Saw(2004)?
I just watched this movie and thnk its one of the best horror movies of all time. It has a couple great performances, a good story and an amazing twist that I don't think anyone could have guessed. It ahs a fair rating on imdb but critics generally don't like it. Does anyone here like the movie? I thought it is one of the best horror movies and gets little recognition because of the lameass sequels. What do you think?

I liked Saw for what it was. It is pretty creative at times (I really liked the twist) and some of the acting is quite good as well. I think the only problems I had with the film were that the dialouge was poorly written and plenty of the performances were a joke! Overall: 3.5/5
I think critics didn't like it for the following reasons:
A) They took the film too seriously
B) The dialouge (like I said a lot of it was terrible)
C) Thought it was way too clichéd
D) It was too much for them
