Well, Diana (btw, I love your videos), I would complain about a lot that's wrong with X-Men, starting with the original three. But I think we've gone so far down the hole, there's no way back up. Unless Fox relinquishes the rights of the franchise back to Marvel, which btw needs to get their own shit together in regards to Iron Man 2, the things we have seen with the X-Men Wolverine movies will continue. As far as Deadpool goes, I'm pretty bummed about how he looks, but what can I do?
yeah, honestky, I'm kinda numb to it myself by now. We had those pictures of the Deadpool/Weapon XI leaking out and that was good thing cause I had time to adjust to the idea. There's really nothing we can do and I'm a big Gambit fan also, so at least for as disappointed as I am about Deadpool, at least Gambit seems to have a pretty cool part in the movie, even if it's short. Somebody had to draw the short straw in terms of characterization, and it's only fitting it would be Deadpool.
But realistically, Fox will NEVER relinquish the rights to the X-men no matter how much money Marvel throws their way (and let's ace it, Marvel is nothing compared to the Fox conglomerate). They have hundreds of characters with fanbases to choose from to make movies, why would they let that go? They can just rotate the ensembles for years to come. What? you think Havok fans or Quicksilver or Apocalypse fans wouldn't be super psyched to see their favourite characters on the big screen, despite Fox's history.
Marvel made their bed, so now they have to lie in it. Afterall, they wanted to get as many of their characters movies as quickly as possible. So even though we have movies like Blade, X2, and Spider-Man, we also have to bite the bullet when it comes movies like Elektra, Fantastic 4, and Ghost Rider. Marvel didn't want to go the DC Comics route and have 8 or 10 f their movies sitting in developmental hell for the next 15 years all, because they are exclusive to one major studio--and they don't know how they make it live up to the two "go- to" heroes.
So yeah, seeing a character like Quicksilver or Apocalypse popping up in a film would make many happy, but I'd be happier if they made them well-conceived. On the other hand, DC needs to stop trying to re-invent the wheel and give us some new heroes on screen.
Is it really a surprise? This new movie just looks like more of the same. Another parade of random X-men characters that share nothing in common with their comic book counterparts.
Why complain? We havent really seen that much of him to be even able to complain! I bet he will get his face fucked up and his mask latter in the movie, if he doesnt, I will shoot their motherfucking asses off be dissapointed but the movie will probably will be good so one little detail wont matter.
From the rumors I've heard, Deadpool is Deadpool for about 10 to 15 minutes in the moive, then he is somehow turned into Weapon XI, which has claws, optic blasts, and teleportation.
