Who should play the Green Lantern?

Now that this Green Lantern movie is officially happening, with Martin Campbell set to direct, who do ya'll think should play Hal Jordan?

Rumors currently have Chris Pine (Cap'n Kirk of the new Star Trek) leading the pack.

But I also heard Brian Austin Green is campaigning for the role, which sounds absolutely horrible to me. So who do you think should play The Man with No Fear?

Permalink Reply by Daedalus Ciarán on April 14, 2009 at 4:51pm: While I love Captain Tightpants as much as any heterosexual male possibly could without going all gooey over his dreamy looks and engrossing charm, his name is thrown around anytime anyone mentions a comic book role. I'm pretty sure if you went into a Captain America Casting forum you'd find a corner rooting for Nathan Fillion. It's practically a joke now at this stage.

Of course I'd love to see him in another big film. He deserves the break, and he's good enough.

Whoever they cast the actor needs to get the sort of humour Nathan Fillion, and from the Trek trailers seemingly Pine, can bring to the roles. It's a big, gigantic space opera the likes of which haven't been seen on screen in years! At least, not seen done well. It ought to be fun filled adventure.; ▶ Reply to This
