Who Remembers "Battle Chasers?"
For those who don't know this one, Battle Chasers is an unfinished fantasy adventure comic created by Joe Madureira. It was a fun little comic that unfortunately tried to be a bi-monthly publication. It has the trappings of a Dungeons and Dragons inspired fantasy world: a crotchety old wizard named Knolan, a gentle compassionate wargolem named Calibretto who kicks much ass, a troubled swordsman named Garrison, the daughter of the hero Aramus who is named Gully and has her father's magic strength enhancing gloves, and the requisite sexy redhead thief named Red Monika. True she was in the mold of over busty femme fatales, but she had attitude and used it.
Villains and schemes abounded in this short lived comic, and it was cancelled without any resolution. Madureira has said he'd like to finish the comic, but it's not looking too hopeful at this point. It's a crdue description and may not sound impressive to everyone but I like fantasy stories and I loved this one when it was in print. Still have the comics actually. Anyone else care to say anything about this comic that never got to live up to its anticipated conclusion? Anyone want to trash? I'm welcoming all viewpoints here.

It was actually an amazing book. I have every issue....but due to MADs complete inability to finish any project I don't think we'll ever see the conclusion. Id like to see it collected in an "Absolute edition" with a few dozen pages of sketches...but I think even that is asking too much.

I have some of the issues,
MAN those boobs were ...overblown even for 90s comics!
and yeah the fantasy element was cool, but MAD has ADHD so we're lucky he gets anything done
