id havce to say my vote gos to Heath Ladger he did an amazing even better then the great Jack Nicholson im not talking bad about Jack Nicholson hes one of my favortive actors but Heath Ledger was a better Joker
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) hands down from the animated series.
But really there is no comparison. Each actor played the right joker for the type of Batman movie they were in. They matched their Batman. Could you imagine Ledger's Joker in the 1989-type Batman? Wouldn't have worked and vice versa - Jack Nicholson would have been out of place in Nolan's Batman so really there is no better Joker
I wish to say I have, and always will abhor the Jack Nicholson Joker simply for its egotistical, screen hogging, script dominating, intolerable idiocy. I'm not going to argue if it was a better interpretation of the comic book character (again, which comic?) but the whole thing felt like a vanity project for Jack Nicholson. There was almost no character development, mystery, and the whole Tim Burton thing of Batman killing indescriminately just GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!
There was only one scene in that entire movie I could tolerate, and that was where Bruce Wayne smashes the fireplace and without the mask, tells the Joker he's ready to f--k him up.
Heath Ledger proved me wrong. I doubted him every step of the way, but upon seeing the Dark Knight, fell in love with him. I'd say Ledger was a more enjoyable and watchable Joker, whilst Keaton was a more intriguing Batman
