How is it a losing battle? Your point is that Superman's (aka The Boyscout as Batman calls him) brute strength and speed makes him better. I just proven to you unequivocally that Batman was better and have the facts to prove it. Has nothing to do with his Villains. Superman has been defeated many times and will continue to be so if he fucks with Batman. Who Superman's bitch-ass is afraid of. LoL

Superman is a better character, The Death of Superman arc is the best thing DC has ever published.

And all the sups ongoings are great, where as, all Batman great stories are all limited series/graphic novels, and his ongoings are complete shit.

Easy answer - neither.

I bet anyone here can come up with a counter argument for their own choice as to who is better. Why? Because Batman and Superman represent the fundamental, dichotomous character traits of the modern superhero.

With the Big Blue, it's the Man is God metaphor. Why does someone with all the power in the world still choose to do the right/heroic thing? 'With great power comes great responsibility' - to steal a line from Uncle Ben.

As for Bats, he represents humankind's indomitable will and resilience. The notion that a person can suffer one of life's great tragedies and use it to motivate them to do good works instead of letting it mess them up irrevocably speaks to everyone.

Then again, Supes fights talking apes and Bats - for all his practicality - hasn't offed the Joker even though this clearly is the ultimate solution.

What we should all be asking is why is Batman and Superman better than Wonder Woman? ;)

Crap, this is hard! See, here's the thing. I like both superheroes because they both rock in different ways but then you have different personalities in their hero form and their secrect idenity form.

As for me, I have always been madly in love with Superman with a little girl and I feel like you really can't go wrong with him. He's a great charecter who is well liked by adults and kids as well. I think I like him more too because he always makes sure he doesn't over do it. He knows he has super human powers and he has to keep them in check.
