Who do you know with the WORST taste in movies?
Do you know anyone whose taste in movies absolutely shocks you? And makes you want to smash them in the face with a shovel?
What if it was your own family that you have to live with at 16 years old?
Now my Mom, she mostly just loves old drama films, being born in '60. A handful of classics and all the classic names, Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, John Wayne. If s/he was famous for a movie they starred in that was made before 1970, she probably knows him/her.
But my DAD...
*Facepalm* Just... Give me a minute...
Ok. The man was an extreme geek born in '57. So in a way, I can kind of understand. If you were going to school in the age of black and white TVs, and you were geeky enough to build computers, you'd probably be excited for HD action movies with special effects and surround sound too. But really?

Just to name a few. He just loves, anything with special effects and action. And because we have movie night every week or two we have to take turns picking what movies we want to see... And whenever Dad has his turn, I have to groan, exasperated, at what ridiculousness he wants to see next. He's excited for the new Resident Evil Afterlife for heaven's sake. And my parents wonder why I don't watch Dad's movies all the time with them.
What I most fear is, because we are ALL fans of the Last Airbender series, he might want to rent the movie just to see it, and he might like it. I am genuinely frightened.
So who do you know with the worst taste in movies?

My parents both love nothing but big special effect, big explosion films. Anything that makes them think they shut off, unless its a romance film then my moms all over it.
Most of my friends are the same, although not as bad.

Now my Mom isn't a romance junkie, and personally I usually hate most romances. But she cries, at almost, EVERY, emotional ending to a movie.

My mother is like that, but for some reason she won't cry at the end of a true story. Something depressing like Hotel Rwanda, Schindler's List or United 93 won't phase her...yet put on The Notebook and you sure as hell better have a box of Kleenex ready.

Not trying to be sexist or point fingers, but generally most of the girly girls in my grade get super excited for movies like Dear John and the Twilight movies and will watch them multiple times in theaters with friends because frankly, they don't care about the acting or the plot or any other aspect of the film the only thing they care about is the celebrities.

Almost everyone I know. They laugh at the dumbest thing on the screen and always look for special effects. A friend of mine loves Good burger and Resident Evil.
