Which do you prefer Godfather part 3 or Return of the Jedi?

I know there's been a lot of flack on both films and I wonder which do you think is better? I recently watched Godfather part 3 and while it was good it just didn't feel like the Godfather to me, it felt like a story adapted from a Dan Brown novel and Michael Carleone is good but is looked upon too much like a tragic hero which he isn't and don't get me started on Sophia Coopola. I go with Return of the Jedi because at least it was still a Star wars film.

While I clearly love The Godfather, even I admit that Godfather 3 was such a departure from the "Feelings" of the original source that it shouldn't really even be called Godfather 3. Out of the two options, G-3 or RoTJ? It's almost no contest really, it's going to be Return of The Jedi almost across the board.

While I could see where they are trying to go with Godfather 3, it fails miserably from the very first scene (Award Ceremony) where Michale Corleone is afraid of upsetting Joey Zasa. From that moment on (Where MICHAEL - the guy responsible for killing the heads of "The 5 Families" and having his own brother killed is worried about upsetting THIS PRICK?!) everything that happened in Godfather 1 and 2 gets completely tossed out the window, and in a way almost completely pointless. Not to mention the "change of focus" actually goes AWAY from Michael and onto Sophia and Andy Garcia's characters? I'm sorry, but I watch a "Godfather movie" to see what MICHAEL is going to do, not what someone else is up to. Plus of course you completely loose track of anything that relates to the "New York Mob-scene" or even the "Vegas Mob-Casino scene" for a fucking trip to Italy to showcase the son's opera? What the hell was Coppola thinking? By taking Michael outside of those two "backdrops", it never even really felt like a real "gangster movie", but a political/religious-conspiracy movie. (However, I do like the scene where Michael makes his confession to the priest and breaks down).

But possibly the WORST aspect of Godfather 3 was the introduction of the "Diabetic Michael". I know the concept was to bring him "down a peg or two" and make his character now worried about his own mortality... But come the fuck on. After his father shot, his brother gunned down in a hail of bullets, his house shot up, his 1st wife blown to bits, his old-friends (Clamenza, bodyguard (Part 2) and Pentangeli ) all killed, not to mention surviving the massacre at the meeting in Part 3... he's NOW worried about his "chances of death" because of DIABETES?

Godfather 3 is a complete "Fuck You" of the character that was built and examined in Godfather 1 and 2, and in my opinion Godfather 3 should never have been actually allowed to be made after so many years between 2 and 3. I will even go so far as to say that Godfather 3 should never have even been allowed to use the name "Godfather" in any way.
I'm gonna have to agree with you and say Return of the Jedi. I think MDS said it best. It really didn't feel like a Godfather movie to me.
return of the jedi, no question
Return of the Jedi. What the hell kind of question is that?
Jedi the moment where Anakin is redeemed was actually the scene that got me into film.. big moment for me.
I've sadly NEVER seen The Godfather part 1 or 2. I have both movies but haven't got around to seeing them. They kind of intimidate me. I don't want it to be one of those movies you hear are so great and you feel like you need to love it.
