What's Your Opinion On This Year?
So how do you think it's gone up to this point? do you still think it's one of the worst years for movies or otherwise? Personally, I think this year has been like a cruel mistress. When it's been good, it's been GOOD. The Dark Knight, Wall-E, and Let The Right One In are all Better Than Sex and would make my Top 30 list. On the other hand, when it's been bad, it's been BAD. Disaster Movie was without reserves, the worst piece of crap that has ever had the disgrace of reaching my retina. Jumper and Meet The Spartans were also horrible in my opinion.

The begining of the year was very slow and we plowed through alot of shitty films but once we hitted the superhero flicks, the ride got much smoother and now entering Oscar season we are getting the best of the ride.Alot of great films are releasing as of right now.So far it's been a pretty good year for cinema.

It's been pretty good, I think. Unfortunately I haven't been able to see most of the films I've wanted to see because of my current lack of cash, though. I'll probably end up seeing them all once they come out on dvd, though.

The way i look at it is they made some amazing movies, I would add "The Visitor" to the list of real good films this year. Who care if terrible movies came out. If a terrible movie comes out dont watch it. Every year movies have been made they have great films and bad films.
I do remember certain times of the year that i couldn't go to the theater because i had seen the good films and all that was left were terrible films. That is kinda aggravating, but overall and year when a few great films come out is better than no film at all

I would say the year has been alright but since the Dark Knight came out this year and has stolen the place as one of my favorite movies of all time (its been years since I film did that) I have to count it as a Great year!
Also, what’s everyone beef with Jumper? i saw it and while it is far from a great film i didnt think it was that bad; certainly not among the worst i have ever seen.

It's because the movie is fucking ridiculous. It makes no fucking sense and every fucking person acts like they have a silver spoon up their ass. Also, Im sick of that raggedy-ann motherfucker Hayden Christianson. Even if I held a fucking gun to his head, he wouldn't be able to fucking say a line without sounding like a fucking little whiny bitch.
Sorry about the language, but I failed my 4 day lifeguard class because, even though I performed all the CPR correctly, even though I can fucking recite every letter of the 200 page handbook, Im "not a very strong swimmer". If me and everyone else who failed didn't get another chance on Jan 10th, I'd be even more fucking pissed. Fuck!

Movie wise? It's been an okay year. Nothing remarkable, nothing pathetic
Financial? It's been shitty.
Personal? Well, started off good. Went to shit in a hurry, and slowly improving. But, as a whole, it's been shitty.

In terms of summer blockbusters, this has been the best year considering the variety and the box-office.
But in terms of the year in general, it's not that great. We've had a horrible winter and spring (with the exception of Cloverfield and Rambo) and the fall, when compared to year's past, was VERY lackluster.
And judging from how Harry Potter and Star Trek was pushed to summer 09, it looks like next year will be quite similar.
