What's Your Opinion on the newer South Park seasons

This season has one of the most edgy episodes yet. I can' believe they actually come right out, and say Mickey Mouse is evil, in The Ring. There is no dancing around it, or parody, they actually label the character Mickey, then have him physically abuse his employees. Messing with the house of mouse directly, and openly, takes balls.

Well this season they seem to be pushing envelope even more, especially with the dead celebrity episode. Although I find some bits funny and do find it to be trying a little too hard in being edgy or with trying to make their point about a subject(s) or topic(s).

I have not really liked the newer seasons either, maybe it's just trying to be to serious

them being serious makes the jokes pay off twice as much

I think this show has been consistently great, sure, there are differences between the newer seasons and the older ones, but the difference has been anything but bad. In fact, some of their best episodes ever have been from the latest season itself. Gayfish, The Coon, Eat, Pray and Queef, The Ring... all these were amazing. Besides, after a time you actually start appreciating their writing rather than the number of laughs in an episode. Till date their plots show creativity that will surprise you.
