"The Wolverine > Man of Steel imo. Wolverine looks like it has cooler action. Am I full of shit?"

This can include movies based on real people like the films, Gandhi or W. or it can be events that have happened in history like Titanic or Black Hawk Down.

My favorite has to be David Fincher's Zodiac. Great performances, fantastic cinematography, interesting subject material and a great stylistic way of having the events played out. As well as awesome song selections.

Just watched "Carlos" the miniseries on netflix....wow
Is that the one where its about Carlos the Jackal?
yes, there is also a theatrical cut of it but I haven't seen it so I can't recommended it.  It seems especially relevant now with Ghaddaffi and Bin Laden in the news so much.
Ed Wood is great, Raging Bull and Goodfellas are a couple of my favorite movies, The Elephant Man is fantastic. Those are just a few off the top of my head.

I don't have an absolute favorite but some of them(off the top of my head) are 127 Hours, The Last King of Scotland, Frost/Nixon, Malcom X, and Ray.

In the last 20 years:
Capote, Aviator, A Beautiful Mind, Downfall, Ray, Elizabeth, Milk, Schindler's List, and Malcolm X are some of my favorites

mine is the French Canadian "Dédé: à travers les brumes"

Goodfellas
The Aviator
All The President's Men
Malcolm X
Finding Neverland
Ed Wood

Gangs of New York

Ed Wood

Temple Grandin (tv movie)

I really love the ones about musicians. Like Le vie en rose, Walk the Line and Ray.

it would either be Ed Wood or The Aviator

Temple Grandin

This movie is really inspiring! everytime I watch it i will tell me not to give up.

though many people criticize this movie for the actress' exaggerating acting, i still love her very much!
